E-safety

E safety and Online Safety workshop took place for parents.

These workshops were held at both our school sites and were popular among our parents. Mathew Cornish our guest speaker and trainer spoke to parents about new and ever expanding new technology that is very much a big part of our lives now.

He spoke to the parents about Cyber bullying being a form of bullying which takes place online or through smartphones and tablets. Social networking sites, messaging apps, gaming sites and chat rooms such as Facebook, Xbox Live, Instagram, YouTube, Snap-chat and other chat rooms can be great fun and a positive experience. But what do you do when things go wrong?

There was an open forum for question and answers for parents afterwards.
