Safeguarding
The safety and wellbeing of every child is our highest priority. Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility here — staff, governors, volunteers and visitors alike.
Our Designated Safeguarding Leads
DESIGNATED SAFEGUARDING LEAD
Mrs M Aziz - maziz@rgreeninf.brent.sch.uk
DEPUTY DESIGNATED SAFEGUARDING LEAD
Mrs N Lobo - nlobo@rgreeninf.brent.sch.uk
Our Designated Safeguarding Leads are responsible for overseeing all safeguarding matters and ensuring that concerns are managed effectively and in line with statutory guidance.

We are fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils, and we expect all staff, governors, volunteers and visitors to share this commitment. Our practice is underpinned by current UK legislation and statutory guidance, including Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE), the Children Act 1989 and 2004, and Working Together to Safeguard Children. All staff receive regular safeguarding training, and our designated leads oversee and support this work throughout the school.

The Prevent Duty
The Department for Education has asked schools to help safeguard pupils from the risks of extremism and radicalisation. Young people may be exposed to new influences and behaviours as they explore ideas around identity — through peers, older people, or online — so schools have a duty to have due regard to preventing anyone being drawn into extremism.

Our school is firmly committed to the Government's Prevent strategy; governors and senior leaders receive detailed briefings, and staff are trained to identify when a pupil may be at risk of neglect, abuse or exploitation, and know how to report concerns. We work effectively with external partners to support pupils who are at risk or subject to a multi-agency plan.

Online Safety
We help children build computing skills at home through learning platforms such as ActiveLearn, Bug Club and Busy Things. Every child has their own secure "USO" login, giving safe access to the London Grid for Learning portal at www.lgfl.net.

Appropriate filtering and monitoring systems are in place across school, and we work closely with parents and carers to support safe online behaviour both at home and at school — including external providers running online safety workshops with the children.
