Your continued role in helping your child with reading, writing and maths is very important, and we value the support you give. With your child moving into a new year group, the learning in these areas can be complex — so at the start of each new term, we hold workshops on Phonics, Reading (including guided reading and comprehension), Mathematics, and Writing (including spelling, punctuation, grammar and handwriting), explaining the approaches we use in teaching each subject.
